Grown completely naturally without the use of excessive chemical pesticides, the cardamom from Abheesh farms retains the true goodness and fragrance of Indian Elaichi. Unlike the popular drying methods where cardamom is dried in hot chambers where the pod loses the flavour, cardamom from Abheesh farms is still dried in a traditional way using wood logs. This makes the cardamom retain its original flavour although the outer skin might become pale in colour.
Manoj Nair is employed with Merchant Navy and developed an interest in organic farming of spices, around 10 years ago. His plantation is in Idduki, Waynad in Kerala where he grows cardamom, clove and black pepper. Planning to retire soon from his job, Manoj is considering farming as a full time profession as he is investing in more property in order to expand his farming land.
