Flame Grapes are a variety of grapes which was developed keeping in mind that the customers wanted a sturdy grape variety which was seedless, had good sweetness and had a good keeping quality. The variety is one of the better varieties of grapes which is a big hit in the European market. Almost none of the grapes from this variety hit the Indian market and thus they are still an unknown variety to the Indian pallete.
Black seedless grapes from Nashik, Maharashtra are a bigger variant than the regular grapes, even its clusters have more berries. Other distinguishing feature is its skin, which is less slippery and a slightly thicker than other variants. The berries have a very sweet flavor and the pulp is firm with the skin.
Thompson Seedless is a white grape (pale green) that has been the mainstay of the seedless grape industry for many years. At it’s best it is irresistibly sweet and delicious, but can be slightly tart in the early season. An elongated berry, with an attractive pale green-yellow skin, and no rudimentary seeds. Thompson Seedless is a Sultana grape, belonging to the Sultanina family. The fruit has amazing flavour and crunch and is very sweet to taste. At its peak it can have sweetness of 20-22 brixs.
